Hi,

I have sent a few emails to this site to ask for instructions on removing or editing my posts on the User Forums, but I have not heard anything from the site. I am now posting here to see if I can get some answer for this. Thank you!

Thanks,
Dalomi

One can edit their own posts by clicking the "edit" button in the lower right portion of th message frame.

Hi,

I looked through all my posts except this one and couldn't find the "Edit" button on the right corner of each post. I saw the "Edit" button for this post. Please help!

Thanks,
Dalomi

It is kind of hard to believe that you don't see buttons everyone should be able to see. They look like those in the attachment.

Did you, maybe, not wait long enough until the whole page has loaded?

You won't be able to edit your own messages after someone replied to it.

... and this is, probably, a VERY GOOD idea! There were several cases where posts (or parts of them) mysteriously disappeared and it made topic comprehension impossible.

Hi,

This site has to do something then. Other websites allow users to edit their own posts even though someone has replied to them. This is really BAD that this site does not have the option. Is there any way to delete my own posts then?

Thanks,
Dalomi

I've cleaned up the merged cross-post in question so that there is only one copy of the question and no responses that tell you not to cross-post.

I agree with Littlefoot that general users should not be able to edit old posts to suit their version of history. The sort of people that need to go back and edit old posts are the very same inexperienced users who are likely to make a complete hash of it.

If your request is reasonable, most of the moderators here will not mind doing some housekeeping for you - just post it in this forum. Of course not all moderators will feel that way, and some or all may not see the request as reasonable. In that case, you'll need to build a bridge and 'get over it'.

P.S. Don't cross-post.
