Hi All,

I need your help. I have report where in i require the following requirement. I am using Oracle reports 10 g. For better understanding i will give example of EMP & DEPT tables.

Ex - I want to show all the employees which are working in dept_no = 20. Following output i am getting.

_______________________________
Dept No - 20
Empno

1
2
3
5
6
7
8
______________________________

But the user wants it in following way -

_______________________________
Dept No - 20

Empno

1 To 3
5
6 To 8
5

______________________________


Can anyone suggest how we can acheive this, i have tried using formula but the not able to do it.

Let me see if I understand correctly: the user wants to see employee id 5 twice and the others in text (1 to 3 etc.)??

That is one of the weirdest requirements I've ever seen...

Are you sure this is what they want?
