You'll need to recover from backup

Have you done any studying yet? Backup and restore of Oracle database is not something you can learn by asking a couple of questions on a forum. If it were that simple,no-one would need to employ a DBA. Start by reading this,
http://docs.oracle.com/database/121/BRADV/toc.htm

Your interviewer was probably hoping that you would describe the 12c capability of automating the extraction of a table from a backup. Not difficult, but not something for novices either.
