Hello, my friends!
I have a problem with my ASM.
I have one disk group (redundancy - normal) with four disks in it.
Also I have another four disks, which have same size, as first disks.
I want to add my new disks in disk group so that the data from the old disk will NOT crawled to new disks, because I need a full mirror on the new disks from old disks for testing.
Is it real to do it? If it is real, please help me to resolve my problem.

You'll need to put four disks into one failgroup, and four disks into another failgroup. At the moment, each disk is (by default) in a failgroup of its own. You may have to shuffle disks around a bit and rebalance a few times to get to your desired end point.

I forgot to do the moderator bit:

Thanks for answer.
Is it real to change disk's failgroup in one command without removing disk from diskgroup?

Look up the syntax of the ALTER DISKGROUP command and you'll be able to work it out.

If you aren't sure, show what ideas you have tried out. And do not be frightened of experimenting: ASM will not let you damage anything, no matter what you attempt.

"add_disk_clause

You cannot use this clause to change the failure group of a disk. Instead you must drop the disk from the disk group and then add the disk back into the disk group as part of the new failure group."

That's all, that I find.

That sounds reasonable. As I said, you may have to do this in more than one operation, and rebalance more than once.
